Sept 2019. As narrow as it is wide, Broad Lane, the smallest lane we used
today, with fabulous views from Porchfield westward to Tennyson. It might
be one of the longest lanes, as way ahead, I could see Paul leading and I
counted 21 bikes on this months ride, all braving the weather and the eliments
!! Verdi Cafe` was our destination, but not without drama !! At Godshill,
we successfully bump started an unfortunate bike with a dodgy battery. On
route, were plagued with cyclists more than once. Then somehow at Whitwell,
a "lay off" error occured ?? The group must have split in two, resulting
in poor Angie leading the break away pack, many, many miles. All was "well"
by Wellow and we rejoiced at Fort Vic for a charming tea and cake feast, watching
the tide racing out and a variation of craft on the high seas. A big welcome
to those who rode with us for the first time today and we look forward to
seeing you again soon. Till then riders, stay safe, Steve (tail end Charlie).
The age group 41-81 is flexible . Safe sensible riding is what is important, so if you are younger - please join us
