ROUTE - MARCH 20th 2022 Run to the Breeze at Island Harbour
TR out of car park - Whitley Bank - TL take slip road on the left - XRd straight over Newchurch - fork in the road TL - right at the next fork - across the Downs Road - Rd Junc bear left and then Right to Binsteads - Mrab right - through Lushington - R/Abt bear left towards Newport and take the right turn to to Island Harbour

For the "younger" members of this group who may not know, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the founding of 4181 club this meet. It all started from a small number of us meeting at Godshill for coffee to form a new, special motorcycle club, 20years ago ! Now look at the membership list and the number of firm friendships that have developed ! Fantastic. 18 bikes waited in lovely weather for a quick run through to Island Harbour this month with an unexpected "unexpectable" detour due to an RTA at Rowlands Lane. This forced us down towards Ryde and left onto Deacons Lane, where, as the last rider, I waited on the railway bridge peak as there was a hold up in the traffic ahead of me. I was chuff chuffed, literally, as a Havenstreet steam loco passed under me in full thunderous steam ! Well, I`ve got to get my kicks from somewhere ! ! Teas and a catch up chat in warm sunshine at the harbour and hello to Alan who rode with us today. Until next month, ride and stay safe, Steve. (tail end Charlie).
